AUDITIONS

Auditions will be for the following roles:

“Stanley Kowalski”: Male, 30’s- early 50’s. Stanley is a war veteran, and a factory worker, living in the vibrant, but often harsh, French Quarter of New Orleans. He is described as a man of raw strength, fierce masculinity, and primal instincts.

Harold Mitchell (“Mitch”): Male, Late 30’s-Early 50’s. Stanley’s best friend and co-worker. He is refined, sensitive and highlights a different, perhaps more intelligent view of masculinity than does Stanley’s dynamism. He is the counterbalance to the trio of Stanley, Stella and Blanche.

Please bring a monologue from any Tennessee Williams play. Streetcar excerpts would be most welcome. Prepare to read for both characters. You will also be asked to read from the script with a partner.

***Please note: The roles of Blanche and Stella have been cast.

Audition Date

Sunday, August 24th, 2pm-6pm at The Tryon Depot, 22 Depot Avenue, Tryon, NC.
